This policy explains what information Sharp Slate ("we") handles through this website (including our free sheet signup) and through Sharp Slate Publisher, our internal tool that posts our own videos to TikTok.
This website
This website has no user accounts or comments, sets no cookies of its own, and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operations.
Free sheet signup
To get our free daily sheet, you give us your email address and, optionally, your first name. You can also choose to tick a box to receive the daily sheet and occasional offers from Sharp Slate by email.
- What we collect: your email, your first name if you give it, whether you ticked the email box, and the date and time you signed up. Our form provider may also record technical details such as your IP address to block spam.
- How we use it: to give you the sheet. If, and only if, you ticked the box, we also email you the daily sheet and occasional offers for Sharp Slate products. We do not email you marketing if you did not tick the box.
- Where it's stored: with our website host, Netlify, which processes form submissions for us. If we later move our list to an email service provider, it will be used only for the purposes above, and this policy will name that provider.
- Your choices: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time to unsubscribe, see what we hold about you, or have it deleted.
- How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Sharp Slate Publisher (TikTok integration)
Sharp Slate Publisher is used only by Sharp Slate, to upload videos we produce to Sharp Slate's own TikTok account as drafts, which we then review and post in the TikTok app. It is not offered to the public and does not act on anyone else's TikTok account.
When our own TikTok account authorizes the tool, TikTok provides an access token, a refresh token, and the account's open ID. We use these only to upload our drafts and check their upload status. They are stored only on our own computer, are never shared or sold, and can be revoked at any time from TikTok's app permissions settings. We do not collect information about TikTok users who view, like, or comment on our videos.
Sharing and sale of information
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties.
Children
Our content is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
